During the first half of the 20th century, Chicago led the world in the manufacturing of electronic devices. It was the perfect location for Shure to grow their Original Equipment Manufacturer [OEM] business as many of our customers were local.

Introduced in 1940, the “Stratoliner” microphone in the Chicago museum collection finds the world-famous Shure.
